Just a couple of teenagers I drew this week

No big deal here. I just happened to take a couple of pics for some reason. It's funny to see all the little mistakes, in hindsight. But the girl does indeed have a broad, masculine nose bridge. Both families went crazy for the drawings of their respective teenage children. That's always a strange feeling. I see nothing but mistakes and a struggle for likeness, and a little beauty.

It is really hard to believe that in such a short time you just picked up drawing one day and made a career out of it. That is amazing and your caricatures have a very unique look to them.

Thanks, Mandy. ...Unique, really? Aaahh...you're nice.

I didn't mean that in a bad way. I meant it as a sincere complement. That you are not a clone. I have been drawing since I can remember, yet all this is new to me with the caricatures. I find it hard to pick up different techniques and try not to copy other artists, but put my own look to it, yet still learn from them at the same time. You seemed to have done that well and from what I have read you learned from the caricature book, yet your work doesn't look anything like what is in the book.(Just to clarify)I know the words unique and interesting don't always imply complement. In this case it did.

I understood it as a compliment, no problem. Thanks again. But I think I take after Esly and Duron. I've probably worked with them more than any others. Again, though, that's very nice. Thanks. ...Hey, why don't YOU have a blog?
